How To Think, Not What To Think
Historical Context, Healthy Life Choices and Lots of Opinions
Upon returning the the realm of education and now in the depths of academic competition, the realization that everything is not what is seems became quite a revelation. Truth is not on the surface and life is about choices. Each decision in life connects to the next and brings one closer to the divine.
It is this combination of the search for truth and living abundantly through better living mentally, physically and spiritually, that drives me forward. The next step is to offer the experience, strength and hope gathered over time. The ultimate goal is to leave the world a better place than when one enters it. Never give up, never bend on your principles and always keep searching and reaching.

PhD History

History is arguing with the past utilizing primary sources, reason and logic. A historian is an individual formally trained to make these arguments and analysis by way of historical context and yes, bias. That being said, foundational truths and intellectual honesty are a must, or history truly has no context at all. To understand the present and make wise decisions for the future, knowing the past is vital for an individual and a society of individuals.
Throughout my academic adventures over the last few years, I have quickly learned that history is being rewritten and revised and usually to fit a narrative or agenda. I reject this form of revisionism and its adherents. The past should be analyzed according to the period it took place and the resulting effects, over time. Presentism, in and of itself, is not at all unwelcome, but must be grounded in proper sources, logical reasoning and never molded to fit one’s own bias. Let the cards fall where they may and let the individual think for themselves.
